HUMBLE QUARRIES
Providing raw materials while reducing CO2 footprint

Our investment in details:

HUMBLE QUARRIES

  • Humble Quarries is a aggregated group of quarry licences across the United Arab Emirates and Oman, focused exclusively on limestone extraction and processing. Established in 2025, the group currently operates three sites, in areas previously unknown but now deterministic as the highest-grade limestone deposits in the Arabian Peninsula.

  • Limestone is not a single product. Depending on its calcium carbonate content, its density, and the precision with which it is processed, the same rock can serve as crushed aggregate for road base, as raw feed for cement kilns, as dimension stone for architecture and cladding, as agricultural lime for soil correction, or as a refined industrial input for steelmaking, glass, and water treatment. Most quarry operations in the region have historically focused on the lower end of this value chain, supplying bulk aggregate to construction projects and little else. Humble Quarries was structured from the outset around the full spectrum of applications, with the processing capability to move up and down that value chain depending on where demand is.

The timing is deliberate. The UAE's infrastructure pipeline through 2030 is substantial, Oman's Vision 2040 programme has accelerated domestic construction activity considerably, and the broader Gulf region is importing processed limestone products, including high-purity industrial grades, that could be supplied regionally at meaningfully lower cost and lead time.

  • The Arabian Peninsula sits on some of the world's most extensive and accessible limestone geology. That resource has been exploited for decades, almost entirely for bulk construction purposes and with limited attention to quality differentiation, processing sophistication, or export potential.

Humble Quarries was built on the view that this is a structural gap rather than an accident of the market, and that a group with the right licences, the right processing infrastructure, and a serious commercial approach could occupy a position in the regional materials supply chain that does not yet meaningfully exist
